Project background

We are delighted to let you know that Council will be upgrading the oval drainage system.

Oval drainage upgrades are important to ensure the longevity and playability of sports field surfaces and to ensure continuity of sporting competitions throughout the season.  This will enhance the amenity of the open space for our whole community to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Project scope

The work includes:

• Installation of a subsoil drainage system.
• Minor turf remediation for drainage works.

Project schedule

Detailed Design - December 2023 (complete)

Tender - February 2024 (complete)

Site Establishment – early October 2024

Practical Completion – end January 2025 (weather permitting)

Impacts during construction

The playing field will be closed during construction. We appreciate the support and collaboration of our sport clubs and local user groups during this process.
