Project background

This is a unique location close to a pretty beach and adjacent to village shops and ferry transport.  We are excited to let you know that Council will be upgrading the playground facility with exciting new equipment that will enhance this destination, improve the play opportunities and cater to a diverse range of ages and abilities.

The new play space will be a vibrant and inclusive facility that enhances the social, visual and environmental qualities of the area.

Consultation with the community

Council consulted with the local community and stakeholders about the playground between July and August 2022.  Find out more here.

Project scope

The current work includes:

  • Provision of new play equipment to replace the existing playground
  • New softfall areas and levels on site
  • New bins and water fountain
  • Renewal of benches and picnic settings
  • Renew paths and signage
  • Tree maintenance and associated landscaping

Impacts during construction

The site area will be closed for public use during the construction period.  Alternative playgrounds are located nearby at Bundeena Oval which includes a small skate park.

Working Hours are Monday to Fridays 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and occasional Saturday work between 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. No work will take place on a public holiday
