Project background

Oval drainage upgrades are important to ensure the longevity and playability of sports field surfaces and to ensure the continuity of sporting competitions throughout the season.  This will improve the amenity of the open space for our whole community to enjoy an active lifestyle.

Project scope

The work includes:

• Provision of an automatic irrigation system.
• Localised improvements to subsoil drainage system.
• Minor turf remediation for drainage works.

Detailed Design - November 2024 (complete)

Tender - December 2024 (complete)

Site Establishment – end of January 2025

Practical Completion – end March 2025 (weather permitting)

Impacts during construction

The playing field will be closed during construction. We appreciate the support and collaboration of our sport clubs and local user groups during this process.
