Breen Park, Glenn McGrath Oval - Wicket Table Renewal

Project background

We are delighted to let you know that Council will be upgrading the wicket table surface and surrounds at this Oval.

Breen Park (Glenn McGrath Oval) is an important facility for the cricket competition in this area and the work will ensure the playability of field surfaces during competitions throughout the season.

Project scope

The work includes the supply, install and rolling of turf to the established playing wicket.

Project schedule

Site Establishment – October 2024

Practical Completion – end December 2024 (weather permitting)

Commencement for this project has been adjusted due to difficulties with material supply.

Impacts during construction

The playing field will be closed during construction August 2024 Until January 2025.  We appreciate the support and collaboration of our sport clubs and local user groups during this process.

This project is fully funded by Council.
