Project timeline
Project start: Feb 2025
Expected completion: Jun 2025
Project background
Engadine Park is more commonly known as Anzac Oval and consists of 3 turfed oval surfaces and 1 mini field that are shared by a variety of sporting groups, schools and the general community.
We are delighted to advise that Council will be upgrading the sports lighting system and power supply at this location. The LED luminaires will reduce power consumption and improve the lighting for our whole community, enabling sporting activity to continue to train in a safe environment.
Consultation with the community
We have consulted with the local community and sporting clubs throughout 2024 and this project also responds to our community feedback and the Sports Strategy.
Project scope
The work includes:
- Removal of existing sports lighting.
- Installation of 14 new floodlight poles with LED luminaires on the sports field and cricket nets.
- Upgrade of electrical supply and replacement of switchboards.
- Installation of SMS/ automated lighting controls.
Project schedule

Impacts during construction
Disruption to the public will be kept to a minimum with small work areas being established and packed up each day.
A power supply outage to allow for cut-over of services will be conducted and we will keep you informed of the timing as we near the completion.
