Sutherland Library closing at 5pm on Fridays in January

External return chutes are available at Sutherland, Cronulla Caringbah, Miranda, Engadine and Menai Libraries if you wish to return your items when the library is closed.
New opening hours in effect from 6 January
Our newest location, Kirrawee Library+, is scheduled to open in mid 2025. With this in mind, our opening hours have changed across the Sutherland Shire Libraries service.
After public consultation in 2024, the new opening hours for our libraries are now in operation. Details can be found on each library's location page.
Australia Day public holiday - 26-27 January 2025
All Sutherland Shire Libraries will be closed for the Australia Day public holidays on Sunday, 26 January and Monday 27 January, 2025.
Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday 28 January.
Library members can log in to their accounts online to renew loans, place holds, and access our digital collections while the library is closed.
24-hour return chutes are available at Sutherland, Caringbah, Miranda, Engadine and Menai Libraries if you need to return your library materials while we are closed.
