About Kanopy
Tickets are used to play videos on Kanopy.
Sutherland Shire Libraries members are entitled to 30 tickets each month. Your tickets reset on the first day of the month, and unused tickets don't roll over to the next month. You can see your remaining tickets for the month in the top-right corner of the homepage.
Kanopy Kids is Kanopy's curated collection of content for children, with a focus on ages 2-8. While in the Kanopy Kids section, you'll only see content that's age appropriate and you won't use your ticket allocation.
As you browse for titles, you'll see the number of tickets needed to watch each title and how long you have to watch it. Movies typically use 2 tickets and can be watched for 3 days. Episodic content – like TV series and The Great Courses – generally use more tickets, but you have more time to watch.
Getting started
To use Kanopy, you'll need to enter your library card information and create a Kanopy account. We recommend doing this in a web browser, but you can also set up your account in the Kanopy app for iOS or Android.
