My body of work explores nature reclaiming our world. Through a series of digital illustrations, my work represents how iconic landscapes would appear once humanity inevitably brings about its destruction. My process was inspired heavily by Hayao Miyazaki, and my practice required a large amount of concept art development. Miyazaki’s influence also affected my choice of colour palette. My work's apparent playfulness and vividness are juxtaposed with its expression of macabre undertones of a society vacant of humanity.
My artmaking practice has been influenced by studying and interpreting the following artists: Hayao Miyazaki and Kazuo Oga.
