My psychological thriller, Rewind, explores the human psyche and the complexity of memory as it delves into the reality of trauma and the struggle of dissociative amnesia. Differing from post-traumatic stress disorder, dissociation is the mental process in which a person’s brain allows them to disconnect from a memory and forget it existed.
My body of work focuses on the struggle between the complex and surreal inner workings of the human psyche and the harshness of reality. In representing instability and a dissolving sense of reality, my intent was to force the audience into a metaphysical world, questioning their own reality.
