My body of work discusses social issues of class and authority. It comments on the divide within our society, representing the oppressed and protests against oppression. I focus on the idea of fighting to be seen and heard, fighting to make a difference, standing out and expressing yourself in a society that is constricting and forces people into a category or way of life.
My intent is to provoke conversation among viewers about current social issues and for them to ask themselves if they are just following the road paved for them or if they are creating their own.
