The concept inspiring my body of work was to recognise the elemental gambling practices of life. Referring to the modern ‘rite of passage’ of childhood into adulthood, my work juxtaposes two different party scenes to represent self-deterioration. Connected through a collection of dice, the different pieces allude to the perpetual chances we take. The diversity of choices we all make lead up to who we are now, as we all play the game of life.
