Are you 18+ and interested in registering for a 2 day face to face course in preparing yourself to be able to support those in need?
Mental ill health can affect anyone in the community.
Many people lack the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support a friend, family member or co-worker experiencing a mental health concern, including how to approach someone and start a safe conversation.
With everyday stress situations more and more workplaces require a Mental Health Officer – a person who can detect mental health concerns at the beginning stage and who can help.
This course will teach you how to listen and respond to someone with a mental health concern, even if they are experiencing a crisis. You’ll learn how to help someone to access the support they might need for the successful management of symptoms as part of their recovery journey.
This is a 2 day course, that consists of a PowerPoint presentation and various group activities and discussions. Participants must attend both days in full to receive their certificate.
