The Treasurer is responsible for all funds received on behalf of the S355 committee and makes payments as authorised by the S355 committee. A financial report should be submitted to each member of the S355 committee at each ordinary meeting.
Books of account are kept as required by Council and at the end of the financial year the Treasurer prepares a balance sheet and annual report.
Role Requirements:
- To manage bank accounts on behalf of the S355 committee
- To submit Business Activity Statements for the Hall to Council every month
- To manage and store the financial records of the S355 committee including the filing of bank statements and receipts
- To submit a financial report on the accounts of the hall S355 committee to each meeting of the S355 committee
- To act as booking officer for the S355 committee in the absence of the Secretary unless specifically delegated to another member of the S355 committee
- To prepare a balance sheet and annual report at the close of the financial year
- To co-operate with audits undertaken by Council or its appointed auditor
- To act consistently with the delegation and responsibilities of the S355 committee and Council
This position is to be vacated, nominated and approved by Council at each AGM.
