Gunnamatta Park is a large, leafy park on 14 acres of land, a short walk from Cronulla train station. The park is perfect for family gatherings and picnics with large grassed areas, shade trees and a playground.

Gunnamatta Park adjoins Gunnamatta Bay Tidal Baths, a large netted swimming area with a beach.

Stingrays

The waters to the left of the tidal baths may contain stingrays and care should be taken when wading in shallow water. Shuffle your feet as you enter the water to scare them away.

Barbecues

Fuel-fired portable barbecues that use coal, wood and heat beads are not allowed in Gunnamatta Park. You are welcome to bring a portable gas and electric barbecue.

Free public barbecues and shelters are available on a first come first served basis.

Dogs on-leash are allowed on the walkways and in the park. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of the playground and in the tidal baths and on the beach.

On-street parking is available along Nicholson Parade.  There are two accessible parking spaces on Waratah Street near the corner of Tonkin Street, with an accessible footpath leading from Tonkin Street into Gunnamatta Park. A map showing the route into Gunnamatta Park can be downloaded here.

Public toilets, changing facilities and showers are provided in Gunnamatta Pavilion.

Alcohol consumption is prohibited at all times, unless written approval has been obtained by Council.
