Horderns Beach is a popular beach at Bundeena that is both a dog on leash and dog off leash area at certain times of the year.

Check signage at the beach to confirm the locations and times for dog off leash areas.  Signage is at Brighton Street, Hordens Lane and Liverpool Street entrances.

  • Horderns Beach is not fenced.
  • Entrances are through Brighton Street, Horderns Lane and Liverpool Street.
  • Bins are provided at Brighton Street entrance.
  • Toilet facilities are nearby at the ferry ramp (at the eastern end near Brighton Street).

Dogs allowed off leash

  • Dogs are permitted off leash Monday to Friday before 8.30am and after 4.30pm.
  • Please clean up after your dog.
  • Dogs must be on leash when entering and leaving the dog off leash area.
  • Always maintain effective control of your dog.
  • Serious penalties apply if your dog rushes, menaces or attacks people or other animals.

Dogs that have been declared dangerous or menacing by Council or are a restricted breed are not permitted in the dog off leash area. Failure to comply may result in fines or prosecution under the Companion Animals Act 1998.

Animals are prohibited on the beach on Saturdays, Sundays or any public holidays.
