Summary of requirements
A Statement of Environmental Effects:
- is required for every DA, no matter how minor, including amendments to existing consents
- must address the environmental impacts of your DA, both during and after the development
- must include any proposed measures to mitigate the impacts
- must include written information about your proposal that cannot be readily shown on your plans and drawings.
What do I include?
Your Statement of Environmental Effects should address all matters applicable to your proposal, including all relevant Council and NSW government planning policies and controls.
The statement must also address any likely environmental and social impacts of the development, how these impacts have been identified, and the steps to be taken to minimise them.
We recommend that you check with us for any specific requirements that might relate to your proposal or the site.
Further information and more detailed descriptions of the DA requirements are available in the Sutherland Shire Development Application Guide.
