2024 Sutherland Shire Council Business Survey Insights

Sutherland Shire Council is taking action to support local businesses following the completion of the 2024 Business Survey, where 249 local business owners shared their experiences, challenges, and priorities for success.

While businesses continue to face significant challenges, the survey revealed an optimistic outlook: 87% of respondents feel confident about the next 12 months, with projected turnovers expected to increase by almost 10% for the 2024/25 financial year.

The survey highlighted key challenges facing local business owners:

  • Economic fluctuations
  • Skills shortages
  • Difficulty finding staff.
