It is illegal to place business or household waste in public street bins.
We're placing public recycling bins and Return and Earn baskets throughout Sutherland Shire. This is for a 12-month trial, May 2024 to May 2025.
Bins are located in Engadine, Gymea, Sutherland, Sylvania and Woolooware and Cronulla
We audit the bins regularly to check contamination i.e. items incorrectly placed in these bins. Changes may be made throughout the trial based on audit results.
All bins and baskets have signs on them to show what you can and can't place in them. We encourage you to check before putting items in the bin.
