Event details

MON 19 AUGUST 2024 to FRI 1 NOVEMBER 2024

Lights, camera, action!

Storytelling has always been a powerful means of connecting people to one another and helping us to comprehend and navigate life’s challenges. When we experience stories through film, we form deep emotional connections and empathise with characters from different walks of life.

The Cut Short Film Competition encourages filmmakers of all experience levels to tell their unique stories, filmed within the Sutherland Shire – from the pristine beaches of Cronulla to the dramatic cliffs of Cape Solander to culturally significant places rich in history.

Whether you’re a documentary filmmaker or create more conceptual films, we welcome filmmakers from all genres and backgrounds to tell their stories.
