FOGO Starts in Sutherland Shire November 2
FOGO (Food Organics and Garden Organics) is our new household waste collection service that allows you to place food scraps and garden waste together in your green lid bin. Your fortnightly garden waste bin will become your weekly green lid FOGO bin.
The FOGO collection service will be introduced in stages and starts in Sutherland Shire from 2 November 2026.
FOGO caddy deliveries have started!
If your property is included in stage one of the FOGO rollout, you’ll receive a free FOGO starter kit delivered to your home throughout September and October, before the service begins.
Your starter kit includes:
- A 7-litre kitchen caddy
- Compostable liners
- An information booklet with everything you need to know about using the new service
If you’re eligible and haven’t received your starter kit by 30 October, please contact Council and we’ll arrange for one to be delivered.
FOGO starter kits will be provided to stage one single dwelling houses and low-density multi-unit dwellings that have an individually allocated green lid bin. For stage two multi-unit dwellings, FOGO is expected to be introduced from late 2027.
